MobilityLedger helps people decide whether to own a car or rely on carshare by calculating a brutally accurate “all-in” cost per mile for both options. It connects to your bank transactions and optional vehicle data (odometer photos or OBD dongle) to capture insurance, fuel/charging, maintenance, parking, tickets, depreciation, and loan interest—then compares that to your actual carshare/ride-hail spend and trip patterns. The app outputs a simple recommendation (own, share, or hybrid) with break-even mileage, neighborhood-specific parking assumptions, and a confidence score based on data completeness. It also simulates life changes (new job commute, moving, adding a child) and shows how your decision flips. This isn’t another budgeting app; it’s a decision engine with receipts. Expect some setup friction, but the result is a defensible answer you can act on.
