ModeBridge is a web + mobile app that standardizes and audits the messy moment when control shifts between a driver/pilot and an autopilot-enabled navigation system. It connects to supported vehicle/avionics APIs (where available) and otherwise uses phone sensors plus manual prompts to capture: who had control, when, why, and whether required checks were completed. The app generates a tamper-evident “handoff record” for fleets, safety managers, and insurers, with configurable SOP checklists (weather, route constraints, geofences, driver readiness). It’s not a magic safety solution: if the underlying autopilot is unreliable or the integration is blocked by OEMs, the app can only document and enforce process. The value is operational—reducing disputes, improving training, and creating consistent compliance evidence without building your own telemetry pipeline.
