ModReceipt

ModReceipt is a web + desktop companion app that generates a “trust receipt” for user-generated mods and custom content. Creators upload a mod package, and the app runs automated checks: malware scanning, suspicious file/registry behavior, license/asset provenance prompts, dependency mapping, and a reproducible build hash. It then outputs a shareable badge and report page that communities and servers can require before allowing installs. It’s not magic: it won’t catch every exploit and it can’t verify stolen assets perfectly, but it dramatically reduces the most common risks that get mods banned or communities compromised. The product is designed for mod hubs, private servers, and indie studios that allow UGC but need a lightweight gatekeeping layer without hiring a security team. Monetization is SaaS for communities plus optional creator “pro” scans and CI integrations.
