MoltMonitor

MoltMonitor is a mobile + web app (traditional app with light AI) for hobbyists and small breeders keeping tarantulas, mantises, isopods, snails, and other invertebrates. It focuses on the unsexy reality: most welfare problems come from slow, preventable husbandry drift—wrong humidity, bad ventilation, dehydration, mold, feeder mistakes, and missed molts. Users log enclosures, species, last molt/feeding/water, and basic parameters. The app generates a simple “risk score” per enclosure and a weekly checklist. With optional AI, users can upload a photo of the enclosure and get a coarse flag for obvious issues (standing water, mold, substrate too wet/dry, missing hide). It also provides species-agnostic welfare rules (e.g., ventilation + moisture balance) and reminders that don’t pretend to be veterinary advice. The goal is fewer deaths, fewer failed molts, and better routine care.
