MoneyMoods

MoneyMoods is a mobile + web app that helps couples reduce money conflict by tracking the emotional context around spending, not just the dollars. Each partner gets a 30-second daily check-in (stress, confidence, resentment, “felt controlled,” etc.) and can optionally tag purchases or conversations with a mood and a short note. The app turns this into a simple weekly “money weather report” showing patterns: which categories trigger tension, when one partner feels excluded, and what topics are being avoided. It also provides structured conversation prompts and a lightweight agreement builder (e.g., thresholds for “no-questions-asked” spending, shared goals, and decision rules). This is not a budgeting app replacement; it sits on top of whatever bank/budget system you already use, focusing on behavior and communication. Expect some users to quit if they want quick fixes—this requires honesty and consistency.
