MoodGuard
MoodGuard is a mobile app (with an optional clinician web dashboard) that helps people with bipolar disorder detect early warning signs of mania or depression using passive signals and quick daily check-ins. It combines a traditional tracker with AI that looks for risky patterns: reduced sleep, increased activity, rapid texting/calling, spending spikes (optional bank integration), and self-reported irritability or racing thoughts. When risk rises, it triggers a personalized “stability plan” built with the user (and optionally a trusted supporter): sleep lock-in routine, medication reminders, spending friction steps, and pre-written messages to pause big decisions. It’s not a diagnostic tool and it won’t pretend to replace therapy; it’s a practical relapse-prevention assistant. The app focuses on actionable nudges and escalation: if the user opts in, it can notify a supporter when thresholds are crossed, because self-awareness often drops right when it matters most.
