MTUWhisper

MTUWhisper is a lightweight desktop + CLI tool that detects and fixes path MTU and fragmentation-related connectivity issues that cause “some sites load, others hang,” broken VPNs, flaky VoIP, and stalled large uploads. It runs guided tests (ICMP, TCP MSS probing, UDP heuristics) across selected interfaces, VPN tunnels, and routes, then recommends exact changes (MSS clamping, interface MTU, PMTUD settings) with rollback. It also generates a shareable diagnostic bundle for ISPs and enterprise network teams: traces, packet captures, route tables, and a plain-English summary. This is not a general-purpose packet analyzer; it’s a focused workflow for one high-impact class of problems that wastes hours in support escalations. Realistically, it wins by being faster and safer than ad-hoc ping tests and random MTU tweaks.
