MudMapKids
MudMapKids is a mobile app for parents, teachers, and camp leaders who want kids to learn outdoors without turning it into a screen-heavy experience. It provides short, location-flexible “missions” (15–45 minutes) like soil texture tests, micro-habitat surveys, cloud spotting, and simple navigation challenges. Each mission includes a printable/phone-friendly checklist, safety notes, minimal gear requirements, and an evidence log (photos, audio notes, counts) that works fully offline. When back online, the app generates a simple learning summary aligned to common elementary science standards and suggests the next mission based on what the group already did. It avoids fragile “identify every species” promises; instead it teaches observation skills, data collection, and curiosity. Schools can create class groups and export reports, while families can save weekend “routes” and reuse them anywhere.
