MuteMarshal

MuteMarshal is a lightweight desktop + web companion for video calls that prevents the two biggest conferencing failures: accidental noise and people talking over each other. It runs locally and watches your microphone levels, detects sustained background noise (fans, typing, barking), and auto-suggests mute or applies push-to-talk rules per meeting. During active discussion, it provides a simple “floor” system: a one-click request-to-speak queue and a subtle timer that nudges long talkers, visible as an overlay without forcing everyone onto a new platform. It integrates with existing meeting links (Zoom/Teams/Meet) rather than replacing them, so adoption friction stays low. Admins get basic analytics: % time in noise, interruptions per meeting, and top recurring issues—useful for remote-first teams trying to improve meeting hygiene without policing people.
