MycoMeter

MycoMeter is a mobile + web app that helps land managers track “feedback in nature” by monitoring soil biology signals that respond to management changes—especially mycorrhizal activity proxies, respiration, moisture, and ground cover. Users log simple field observations, upload low-cost sensor readings (CO2 flux/soil moisture), and optionally send periodic soil tests. The app turns these inputs into trend lines and plain-language alerts like “your soil is recovering” or “disturbance is breaking fungal networks,” tied to specific actions (reduced tillage, cover crops, grazing rest). It’s not a magic carbon-credit calculator; it’s a practical feedback dashboard for decisions week-to-week. AI is used for photo-based ground cover estimation and anomaly detection (e.g., sudden respiration drops after herbicide or compaction). The goal is faster learning loops: do something, see nature’s response, adjust.
