NarrateKit

NarrateKit is a web + desktop app that helps authors and small publishers produce “good-enough” audiobooks without a studio. You upload your manuscript (DOCX/EPUB), choose from a small curated set of licensed voices, and the app generates chapter-based audio with consistent pronunciation, pacing, and loudness. It includes a simple pronunciation dictionary, character/term glossary, and a QC pass that flags likely misreads (numbers, acronyms, names) before export. Outputs are ACX-ready WAV/MP3 plus metadata and chapter markers. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI handles narration and QC suggestions, while the workflow, formatting, and export are deterministic and production-focused. It’s aimed at creators who can’t justify $2,000–$8,000 per title but still want something sellable for direct-to-consumer, Patreon, Shopify, or smaller audio retailers.
