NearProof

NearProof is a mobile + web app that lets two parties confirm they were near a place (or near each other) at a specific time—without exposing exact GPS trails. It’s built for situations where “I was there” matters: meeting compliance, field work, deliveries, event check-ins, or simple trust between people. Users create a proximity claim (e.g., within 200 meters of a venue between 2–3pm). The app generates a cryptographic proof using device signals (GPS + Wi‑Fi + Bluetooth) and optional venue beacons/QR. The verifier receives a link or code to validate the proof and see only what’s necessary: pass/fail, time window, and coarse area. This is not a social discovery app; it’s a lightweight verification tool. Monetization is straightforward: per-seat for teams, per-verification for marketplaces, and a small consumer tier for personal use.
