NectarMap
NectarMap is a mobile + web AI-assisted planning app for gardeners, small farms, and land managers who want reliable, season-long pollinator forage. Users enter location, sunlight, soil type (or import a soil test), and planting area. The app generates a bloom-calendar plan using region-appropriate native plants, aiming for continuous nectar/pollen coverage and avoiding invasive species. It also outputs a shopping list, spacing layout, and a simple maintenance schedule. A key feature is “Gap Alerts”: users log what’s flowering (quick photo + timestamp), and the app flags upcoming forage gaps and suggests quick fixes (container plants, staggered sowing, or nearby species swaps). It’s realistic about constraints: if your site is too shaded or too small, it tells you the impact and what’s still worth doing. Monetization: subscription plus affiliate plant sourcing and optional consulting reports for HOAs/municipalities.
