NeedleSpend
NeedleSpend is a mobile + web app that helps people practice financial minimalism by shrinking their “active spending surface area.” Instead of tracking every expense, it focuses on eliminating recurring clutter: subscriptions, duplicate services, low-value memberships, and habitual convenience spending. Users connect bank accounts to automatically detect recurring charges and “merchant clusters” (e.g., three coffee chains, two streaming services). The app then runs a simple monthly reset: pick 3 things to keep, 3 to pause/cancel, and 1 rule to enforce (like “no delivery apps on weekdays”). It provides one-tap cancellation links where possible, calendar reminders for trials, and a minimalist dashboard that shows only: recurring total, discretionary total, and progress toward a chosen “enough number.” It’s intentionally not a full budgeting app—less data entry, fewer charts, more action.
