NeighborNook

NeighborNook is a mobile + web app that helps people build real local friendships through small, low-pressure “micro-gatherings” (coffee walks, dog loops, board-game hour, park cleanup). Instead of endless feeds, it focuses on matching you to 3–8 nearby people with compatible schedules, interests, and social energy, then nudges you into a specific plan with a clear start/end time. Hosts don’t need to be influencers; the app provides simple templates, RSVP caps, and safety controls. A lightweight reputation system rewards showing up, being respectful, and following through—because reliability is the real currency of community. The AI layer suggests gatherings, drafts invites, and learns what actually gets you out the door. Monetization is realistic: optional membership for better matching, verified communities (apartment buildings, coworking spaces), and small organizer tools for recurring groups.
