NestGuard

NestGuard is a mobile + web app for bird conservation groups to collect, verify, and act on nest and habitat threat reports (predation, disturbance, invasive plants, mowing schedules, cats, window strikes) in near real time. Volunteers submit geo-tagged observations with photos/audio, but the system forces structured data (species, confidence, threat type, urgency) and routes items into a triage queue for trained reviewers. An AI layer helps flag obvious misidentifications, duplicates, and low-quality reports, and suggests next actions (e.g., contact landowner, schedule a site visit, place signage, coordinate with rehab). The web dashboard lets coordinators assign tasks, track outcomes, and export standardized reports for grant requirements and regulators. This is not a “birding social app”; it’s operational tooling for conservation work where speed and data quality matter.
