NestLedger
NestLedger is a mobile + web app for sea turtle conservation teams to log nest events, standardize field data, and produce funder-ready reports without spreadsheet chaos. Rangers and volunteers capture GPS, photos, clutch counts, predation notes, and relocation details offline, then sync when signal returns. The app auto-generates nightly patrol summaries, hatch success dashboards, and exportable datasets for regulators and grant reporting. An AI-assisted module flags inconsistent entries (e.g., impossible dates, duplicate nests, outlier measurements) and suggests likely species based on location/season and photo cues, but keeps humans in control. Realistically, this won’t “save turtles” by itself; it saves staff time, reduces data loss, and makes outcomes easier to prove—often the difference between keeping and losing funding.
