NetBiasMap

NetBiasMap is a mobile + desktop app that runs lightweight, opt-in network tests to detect likely throttling, traffic shaping, and “fast lane” behavior across ISPs and locations. Users schedule tests (video, gaming, VoIP, VPN, common CDNs) and the app compares performance against control endpoints and time-of-day baselines to flag anomalies. Results roll up into a public, searchable map and API that journalists, regulators, and consumers can use to spot patterns. The app is realistic about limits: it cannot prove intent, only surface statistically significant disparities and reproducible evidence bundles (logs, traceroutes, test methodology). A paid tier targets power users and small orgs with higher-frequency testing, team dashboards, and exportable reports for complaints or procurement. The goal is transparency: make net neutrality violations harder to hide and easier to document.
