NetManners
NetManners is a mobile + web app that teaches digital citizenship through short, realistic “message threads” kids actually recognize: group chats, comments, DMs, gaming chat, and classroom platforms. Kids choose what to do next (reply, report, pause, block, ask an adult), then see immediate consequences and a quick debrief explaining why it mattered. Parents and teachers get a lightweight dashboard showing skills practiced (privacy, kindness, scams, misinformation, oversharing) without reading the child’s real messages. The app includes weekly 5-minute challenges and printable conversation prompts so adults can follow up. It’s not a surveillance tool and it won’t magically stop bullying; it’s a training simulator that builds habits and vocabulary. Content is age-banded (8–10, 11–13, 14–16) and updated monthly to match new trends.
