NetMend helps sea-cage and pond farms reduce escapes and stock losses by tracking, inspecting, and predicting net/liner failure risk. The app combines a simple inspection workflow (photos, tear size, knot/mesh notes, biofouling level) with environmental context (currents, wave exposure, stocking density, cleaning history) to produce a cage-level risk score and a prioritized maintenance plan. It’s realistic: you won’t get perfect predictions without sensors and disciplined logging, so the MVP focuses on making inspections fast, repeatable, and auditable—then uses AI to flag “looks risky” damage patterns from photos and highlight cages that are trending worse. It also generates compliance-ready reports for insurers, regulators, and internal QA, reducing paperwork time. If farms don’t log inspections, the product won’t work—so the UX must be frictionless and offline-capable for dockside use.
