NetProof
NetProof is a mobile + desktop app that runs lightweight, scheduled network tests and turns them into evidence-grade reports about throttling, prioritization, and inconsistent performance by ISP, plan, location, and time of day. Users opt in to share anonymized results; the app aggregates them into public dashboards and downloadable “complaint packs” formatted for regulators, journalists, and enterprise procurement. It focuses on repeatable methodology: fixed test endpoints, controlled protocols, and clear confidence scoring so results aren’t dismissed as random speed tests. A small AI layer helps classify patterns (e.g., video throttling vs. congestion) and generates plain-language summaries, but the core value is measurement integrity and aggregation at scale. Realistically, adoption is the hardest part, so the product is designed to deliver personal value too: alerts when your service deviates from your baseline and a monthly “service quality receipt” you can use to negotiate credits.
