NewsShift

NewsShift is a mobile + web AI app that tracks how major TV news shows frame the same event over time. It ingests daily transcripts from selected networks and programs, then generates a clean “storyline timeline” showing what facts appeared when, what language shifted, and what topics were emphasized or ignored. Users can compare two shows side-by-side, highlight changes in wording, and get short, source-linked summaries that point back to exact transcript moments. The app is not trying to be a full news aggregator—it's a forensic tool for people who already watch news but don’t trust any single outlet. It also includes a lightweight alert system: when a show materially changes its framing (e.g., from “isolated incident” to “systemic issue”), users get notified with the exact before/after quotes. Expect pushback from networks and imperfect transcripts; the product must be transparent and citation-heavy to be credible.
