NonnaNotes

NonnaNotes is a mobile + web app for documenting Italian family recipes the way they’re actually made: with messy steps, substitutions, and regional context. Users record a cook-through (video, voice, photos), then the app converts it into a structured recipe with ingredient weights, timing, and a clear step list. It also preserves provenance: who taught it, where it’s from (town/region), and when it’s typically served. The app includes a “repeatability score” that flags missing measurements or ambiguous steps, plus a scaled shopping list and pantry mapping. This isn’t another generic recipe browser; it’s a personal archive designed to stop recipes from dying with older relatives. Export to PDF, share privately with family groups, and optionally publish to a public collection with attribution.
