NormsNudge is a mobile + web AI app that helps people in cross-cultural relationships (dating, marriage, in-laws, roommates) prevent avoidable conflict by translating “what this means” across cultures. Users pick two (or more) cultural contexts and relationship type, then log a situation: a message draft, a disagreement, a family event, money expectations, gift etiquette, privacy boundaries, or communication style. The app returns a risk scan (likely interpretations, taboo areas, power-distance triggers), suggested rephrases, and a short “why this lands badly” explanation. It also includes lightweight, customizable “relationship agreements” (e.g., holidays, finances, family involvement) with prompts tailored to the culture mix. This is not therapy; it’s a practical, scenario-based coach. The product wins only if it’s fast, specific, and credible—otherwise users will default to friends, Reddit, or couples counseling.
