NurseryLens is a mobile AI app that helps parents and caregivers quickly understand whether a childcare product is safe, age-appropriate, and compliant—without wading through confusing labels and marketing claims. You scan a barcode or take a photo of the packaging and key labels (age range, warnings, materials, certifications). The app extracts the text, flags common red flags (e.g., unsafe sleep claims, missing warnings, counterfeit-looking packaging), and summarizes what the label actually says in plain language. It also stores your “home inventory” so you can re-check items later and share a safety summary with grandparents or babysitters. This won’t magically detect every hazard—labels can be incomplete and regulations vary—but it will save time and reduce avoidable mistakes during purchase and setup.
