OBDLock

OBDLock is a mobile app (iOS/Android) paired with a low-cost BLE dongle that monitors your vehicle’s OBD-II port for suspicious activity. It alerts you when the port is accessed at odd hours, when the ignition state changes unexpectedly, or when unusual diagnostic commands appear—common signals in relay/OBD theft attempts and shady garage behavior. The app also logs who accessed the port (via proximity + optional PIN), where it happened, and provides a simple “shareable incident report” for insurers or police. This is not a magic anti-theft system: it won’t stop a determined thief with time and tools. But it can reduce the window of opportunity, catch patterns early, and create evidence that owners usually lack. Works best for street-parked cars, fleet vehicles, and high-theft models.
