OfficeHourPal

OfficeHourPal helps students run and attend peer-led “micro office hours” for specific classes, not vague mentoring. Students create 30–60 minute sessions tied to a course, topic, and upcoming assessment (e.g., “Calc I: chain rule quiz prep”). The app handles scheduling, waitlists, and lightweight accountability (attendance, quick feedback, and no-show tracking). An AI layer suggests session topics based on syllabus dates and common pain points, and generates a simple agenda template (what to cover, practice problems, and a 5-minute recap). Mentors don’t need to be “experts”—they can be students who recently passed the class, TAs, or study-group leaders. Schools can optionally verify mentors via .edu email and basic eligibility rules. The goal is to reduce last-minute panic and make peer support predictable, measurable, and easy to join.
