OfficeHours

OfficeHours is a mobile + web app that lets online learners join live, drop-in “micro office hours” for specific topics (e.g., “SQL joins,” “Calculus integrals,” “React state”). Instead of committing to a full course or scheduling days ahead, users open the app, pick a topic, and enter a small moderated room (max 6 learners) with a vetted tutor for 15–30 minutes. The tutor uses a lightweight whiteboard and code pad, answers questions, and assigns a 3-minute exit check to confirm understanding. Pricing is pay-per-session or a monthly bundle; tutors are paid per minute with bonuses for high ratings and low refund rates. The app focuses on fast help, not content libraries—because most learners already have content but get stuck and quit when they can’t unblock quickly.
