OfficeHours is a web + mobile app that helps learners get unstuck by booking short, paid 1:1 or small-group sessions with vetted tutors, TAs, and industry practitioners. Instead of selling yet another curriculum, it focuses on the moment people actually fail: when they hit a blocker and waste hours searching forums or watching irrelevant videos. Users paste the exact problem (homework question, coding bug, concept confusion), pick a time slot, and join a lightweight video room with a shared whiteboard/code pad. After the session, the app generates a concise “fix summary” and next steps, plus optional practice questions. It’s an AI-assisted marketplace, but the value is human help with AI for triage, matching, and session notes. Realistically, it will live or die on tutor quality, response time, and trust/safety.
