OpenKitSync

OpenKitSync is a web app (with optional desktop CLI) for open-hardware teams to publish “reproducible build packs” that actually work: exact BOM with alternates, supplier links, PCB/firmware versions, assembly steps, calibration checks, and test results. It connects to GitHub/GitLab releases and generates a single shareable build page plus a downloadable bundle for manufacturers or community builders. The app focuses on the boring failures that kill open hardware adoption—part substitutions, missing test procedures, and undocumented revisions—by enforcing a lightweight release checklist and capturing evidence (photos, measurements, test logs). It’s a traditional app with a small AI assist: AI can draft assembly steps from repo docs and flag inconsistencies (e.g., BOM vs. schematic refs), but humans approve everything. Monetization is per-project or per-org with private projects, audit trails, and vendor-ready exports.
