OpenStudio is a mobile + web marketplace that lets people discover, request, and book private or small-group studio visits with working visual artists. Artists set availability, capacity, pricing, and visit rules (photos allowed, accessibility notes, materials safety). Visitors browse by city, medium, price, and vibe (process demo, critique-friendly, family-friendly), then reserve and pay in-app. The app handles waivers, directions, calendar sync, reminders, and post-visit tips/donations. For artists, it’s a lightweight CRM: repeat-visitor lists, follow-up messages, and optional add-ons like limited prints or commissions. This is not trying to “disrupt galleries”; it’s a practical way for artists to monetize attention and for art lovers to get a memorable, authentic experience that galleries rarely provide. Expect slow early growth because supply (artists willing to host) is the bottleneck, but it can work city-by-city.
