OpsSignal
OpsSignal is a web app (with optional mobile viewer) that helps city and county departments publish credible, low-maintenance performance dashboards without a full BI team. Instead of building endless charts, it focuses on a small set of operational “signals” (e.g., pothole fill time, permit cycle time, 311 backlog, fleet downtime) that update automatically from common systems. It includes a lightweight data connector layer, a metric definition registry (so everyone agrees what “on-time” means), and a public-facing dashboard that explains context, targets, and caveats in plain language. An AI assistant helps map source fields to standardized metrics, drafts narrative updates, and flags anomalies, but humans approve before publishing. The product is realistic: it won’t replace enterprise analytics, but it can make performance reporting consistent, auditable, and easier to keep current across departments.
