OralVault

OralVault is a mobile + web app that helps families and local historians capture oral histories without the usual friction. It guides interviews with question packs (immigration, war service, work life, childhood), records high-quality audio, auto-transcribes, and generates a clean “story page” with chapters, key quotes, and searchable tags. It also handles the unglamorous but critical parts: consent forms, rights/usage settings, and long-term export (WAV, PDF transcript, JSON metadata) so users aren’t locked in. Sharing is private-by-default with invite links for relatives, plus an optional public archive mode for community projects. This is an AI + traditional app: AI accelerates transcription, summarization, and indexing, while the core value is a simple workflow that non-technical people can actually finish. Monetization is straightforward: subscription for storage, transcription hours, and family seats.
