OrbitAtlas
OrbitAtlas is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that helps GIS teams plan, request, and manage satellite imagery coverage for specific areas and time windows, then automatically organizes delivered scenes into a project-ready map workspace. Users draw an AOI, set constraints (cloud cover, off-nadir angle, revisit needs), and the app generates a pass schedule and acquisition plan across multiple providers. When imagery arrives, OrbitAtlas standardizes metadata, flags unusable scenes, and publishes a clean layer catalog to your GIS stack. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI is used for quick scene quality triage (cloud/haze/shadow) and metadata normalization, not for “magic mapping.” It’s built for teams who are tired of spreadsheets, email threads, and inconsistent vendor portals, and who need repeatable acquisition workflows for monitoring projects.
