OrbitJurix
OrbitJurix is a web app (with optional API) that helps space operators, insurers, and lawyers quickly determine which national laws, licensing regimes, and liability frameworks likely apply to a satellite, payload, or incident. Users enter a spacecraft’s registration state, launch provider, launch site, operator domicile, ground-station locations, frequency filings, and where damage occurred (space, air, land, sea). The app outputs a jurisdiction map, a ranked list of implicated authorities (e.g., FAA/AST, FCC/NTIA, ITU, national space agencies), and a plain-language summary of why each jurisdiction is triggered, with citations to primary sources and official guidance. It also generates a “compliance checklist” and a shareable report for internal review or underwriting. This is a combination traditional + AI app: deterministic rules for core logic plus AI to summarize, explain, and keep a watchlist of regulatory changes.
