OrbitPermit
OrbitPermit is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) that helps Earth-observation teams plan imaging runs by predicting where permits, restrictions, and practical barriers will block collection. It combines satellite pass planning with a continuously updated “can we legally and operationally image here?” layer: national remote-sensing rules, sensitive-site buffers, conflict zones, sanctions/export-control flags, and ground-station downlink constraints. Users pick an AOI, satellite/sensor profile, and intended use; the app outputs a risk-rated plan, required paperwork checklist, and a timeline with who to contact and what to submit. This is not magic: many jurisdictions are ambiguous, and the product must clearly label uncertainty and provide citations. The value is reducing wasted tasking, missed windows, and compliance mistakes that can kill deals or trigger legal exposure. Monetize via per-seat subscriptions plus enterprise compliance packs.
