OrbitPin
OrbitPin is a web + mobile location-based service that lets teams request and manage “freshness-verified” satellite snapshots for specific coordinates, then compare them against older imagery and on-the-ground photos. Users drop a pin, choose a time window and resolution budget, and the app pulls the best available commercial satellite tasking or recent archive imagery, then runs change detection to flag what likely changed (new structures, cleared lots, flooding, road cuts). It’s not magic: cloud cover, revisit rates, and licensing limits mean you won’t always get a perfect image on demand. But for insurers, NGOs, journalists, and infrastructure operators, getting a credible, timestamped view without hiring a GIS specialist is valuable. The product focuses on workflow: requests, approvals, audit trails, and shareable reports tied to coordinates, rather than trying to be another generic map viewer.
