OrdinanceIQ

OrdinanceIQ is a web app (with optional email/Slack alerts) that monitors city and county regulatory changes that impact small businesses—things like signage rules, sidewalk permits, health code updates, zoning tweaks, noise ordinances, and licensing requirements. Users pick locations and business types, and the app builds a tailored “regulatory watchlist” with plain-language summaries, effective dates, and a checklist of required actions. It links back to the official source documents and meeting agendas so users can verify details. The AI component drafts summaries and highlights what changed between versions; humans-in-the-loop workflows let users flag inaccuracies and request clarification. This is not a magic compliance guarantee—local data is messy and inconsistent—but it can drastically reduce the time owners spend hunting across fragmented municipal sites and PDF dumps, and help them avoid preventable fines and last-minute scrambles.
