OrgSpanIQ

OrgSpanIQ is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that diagnoses organizational design issues using your HRIS org chart and basic operating metrics. It flags unhealthy spans of control, excessive layers, unclear decision rights, duplicated functions, and “ghost” managers with too few direct reports. It then generates a few realistic redesign options (not fantasy reorgs): e.g., flatten one layer, merge two teams, split an overloaded manager, or reassign ownership using a lightweight RACI/DRI model. The app outputs a board-ready pack: before/after org charts, headcount deltas, risk notes, and an implementation checklist. This is an AI + traditional app: AI helps interpret messy titles/structures and draft redesign scenarios, while deterministic rules ensure the recommendations aren’t random. It’s built for fast iteration—because most org design work is still done in spreadsheets and slide decks.
