ORHandoff

ORHandoff is a mobile + web app for perioperative teams to standardize and document intra-op to PACU/ICU handoffs in under 2 minutes. It provides specialty-specific templates (general, ortho, OB, neuro), forces completion of critical fields (airway, lines, antibiotics, EBL, specimens, complications, pending labs), and generates a concise handoff summary that can be pasted into the EHR. It includes a time-stamped checklist with role prompts (anesthesia, surgeon, circulator, PACU nurse) and a “read-back” confirmation to reduce miscommunication. This is a traditional app with light AI: optional speech-to-structured-note and auto-summarization from dictated handoff, but the core value works without AI. Realistically, the hardest part is hospital adoption and integration; the product must prove it saves time and reduces incident reports, not just adds clicks.
