OutageLedger

OutageLedger is a web + mobile app that standardizes how fossil and transition power plants capture, classify, and justify forced outages, derates, and start failures. Operators log events in minutes with guided templates tied to NERC/GADS-style taxonomies, attach photos, DCS/SCADA snippets, and work orders, and generate a defensible timeline of what happened and why. An AI layer suggests root-cause categories, flags missing evidence, and drafts a concise incident narrative for internal review, insurers, lenders, and regulators. The app focuses on the messy middle: turning scattered shift notes, emails, and CMMS tickets into a single, auditable record with consistent definitions. It also tracks recurring failure modes (e.g., boiler tube leaks, gas turbine starts, cooling water issues) and produces simple reliability KPIs that management actually uses. This is not a full EAM/CMMS replacement; it’s a reliability evidence and reporting layer that plugs into existing systems.
