OutageProof

OutageProof is a web + mobile AI app for distribution utilities to forecast near-term outage risk at the feeder/transformer level using the data they already have. It ingests SCADA/AMI events, OMS outage history, weather forecasts, vegetation risk layers, and asset age/maintenance records to produce a daily “risk map” and prioritized worklist. Crews and dispatchers see which circuits are most likely to fail in the next 24–72 hours, what the likely failure modes are (tree contact, overload, equipment deterioration), and the recommended preemptive actions (patrol, switching plan, targeted trimming, fuse replacement). It’s not a magic black box: the app shows the top drivers behind each risk score and tracks whether interventions reduced incidents. The MVP focuses on one utility territory and a few data feeds, aiming to reduce SAIDI/SAIFI and overtime by preventing avoidable outages.
