OutageProof

OutageProof is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for distribution utilities to detect “weak signals” of impending feeder and transformer failures using existing operational data. It ingests AMI last-gasp events, SCADA alarms, OMS outage history, and weather/lightning feeds, then ranks circuits and assets by near-term outage risk and likely fault type (vegetation, equipment, animal, overload). The product focuses on actionable workflows: a daily risk queue for dispatch, recommended patrol segments, and post-event learning that improves models per territory. It also provides a reliability impact view (SAIDI/SAIFI exposure) so planners can justify targeted maintenance rather than broad, expensive programs. This is not a magic black box: it’s a pragmatic decision-support layer that works even with messy data, and it’s designed to integrate with incumbent systems instead of replacing them.
