OutageRoot

OutageRoot is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps power generation teams run fast, consistent root-cause analysis (RCA) after trips, derates, and forced outages. It ingests event timelines from SCADA/DCS exports, operator logs, and maintenance notes, then guides users through a structured investigation workflow (5-Why, fault tree, and evidence linking). An AI assistant proposes likely failure modes and missing evidence based on past incidents and OEM manuals, but it never “decides”—it highlights uncertainty and asks for validation. The output is a clean incident report, corrective actions with owners and due dates, and a searchable knowledge base of recurring issues by unit, component, and vendor. This is not a monitoring dashboard; it’s the unglamorous but high-impact process tool that reduces repeat outages and audit pain. Expect initial setup work to map tags and templates; after that, it saves real time.
