OutbreakDesk
OutbreakDesk is a mobile + web app that helps public health teams capture, clean, and triage early outbreak signals from frontline sources (clinics, CHWs, schools, pharmacies, and community leaders). Users submit structured “event reports” offline (symptoms cluster, location, onset dates, photos, short notes). The system auto-deduplicates similar reports, flags anomalies against local baselines, and generates a prioritized queue for district epidemiologists. A lightweight dashboard shows hotspots, confidence levels, and what data is missing, so teams can request follow-ups quickly. It’s designed for low-connectivity settings: offline-first capture, SMS/WhatsApp ingestion options, and simple exports to existing surveillance workflows. This is not a replacement for national systems; it’s a practical layer that makes early warning usable when formal reporting is delayed or incomplete.
