OutbreakOps

OutbreakOps is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for local and regional public health teams to run outbreak investigations without spreadsheet chaos. It provides a structured, standards-based line list, automated epi curves, exposure timelines, contact follow-up status, and a clear audit trail of who changed what and when. The AI component helps clean messy intake data (duplicate people, inconsistent addresses, symptom dates), suggests likely clusters, and drafts situation report summaries—while keeping humans in control and requiring confirmation before changes are applied. It integrates with common data sources (CSV, REDCap exports, basic HL7/FHIR feeds where available) and produces shareable, permissioned dashboards for leadership. The goal is not “predicting pandemics,” but making day-to-day outbreak work faster, more consistent, and less error-prone for under-resourced teams.
