OutletSleuth

OutletSleuth is a mobile + desktop companion app that helps people diagnose why devices charge slowly or inconsistently across cables, bricks, power banks, and wall outlets. It guides users through a short, structured test plan (swap cable, swap brick, different outlet, different device) and records observed charge rate, heat, and connection stability. On Android it can read battery/charging telemetry directly; on iOS it relies more on user input and accessory data where available. The app then produces a plain-English verdict (likely bad cable, underpowered adapter, flaky outlet, port contamination, or device battery health) plus a shopping-safe recommendation (minimum wattage/PD profile needed) without pushing affiliate spam. It also stores a “known good” baseline setup so users can quickly re-test after travel or buying new accessories. Realistically, it won’t magically measure wattage without hardware, but it can still eliminate guesswork fast.
