Overlap
Overlap is a mobile + web app that helps long-distance friends actually meet up online by solving the real problem: inconsistent schedules, time zones, and flaky follow-through. Users connect calendars (optional), set “friendship availability” windows, and pick preferred hangout types (call, co-work, game, walk-and-talk). Overlap proposes 2–3 realistic time slots each week and turns the chosen one into a lightweight plan with an auto-generated agenda prompt (e.g., 3 questions + 1 shared activity link). If someone cancels, it instantly suggests the next best slot instead of letting the plan die. It also tracks “last meaningful catch-up” and nudges both people with a single-tap reschedule flow. This is not another chat app; it’s a commitment and coordination layer that sits on top of whatever communication tools friends already use.
