OwnCompany

OwnCompany is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps people build genuine contentment in solitude—without turning it into another productivity contest. It guides users through short “solo blocks” (10–60 minutes) with a clear intention: rest, curiosity, self-care, or quiet fun. After each block, you log a quick reflection (mood, energy, craving-to-scroll) and the app shows patterns over time: what kinds of alone time actually refill you versus what leaves you emptier. It also includes a “social noise filter” that helps you plan solitude around your real obligations and relationships, not fantasy routines. This is not therapy, and it won’t magically fix loneliness; it’s a practical tool to reduce avoidance behaviors and build tolerance for being with yourself. The goal: fewer anxious spirals, less doomscrolling, and more calm, self-trusting alone time.
