It assigns each item a QR code, logs check-outs/returns at each handoff, and shows real-time loss rates, cycle counts, and cost-per-trip. Customers can scan to return and get instant deposit/refund status, while operators see which locations, routes, or partners are leaking inventory. The app produces simple “circularity proof” reports: reuse cycles, avoided single-use units, and estimated CO2e savings—good enough for procurement and basic ESG reporting without enterprise complexity. Brutal reality: the hard part isn’t the software, it’s behavior change and scan compliance. So the MVP focuses on fast scanning, incentives (deposits/credits), and automated nudges to reduce missing returns.
